Many drivers notice a warning light come up on the dash /engine start to maintain fuel system/. What is this? So the driver carries on driving in EV mode or sorts a distance when the petrol engine is not run too much and does not use much fuel, the warning light comes up after 90 days from the last fuel filling, and the petrol engine just keeps running to use up the fuel to protect the fuel system, if the fuel stored a long time is possible to separate self and can damage the fuel system.
If we refill a minimum of 15 litres the warning light reset itself so refresh the old fuel a little bit. We can reset if removing the 12V battery, but is not the right solution because fuel separates itself, possible damage the injectors and damaging the catalytic converter.
